Unlike Skully’s emphasis on GPS and social networking, Nolan paid more attention to screen technology. The design concept of this helmet is to use AR technology to ensure that the rider can always pay attention to the condition of the road, but also can understand the important parameters in time.

Helmet uses a holographic waveguide technology developed by Sony specifically for N-Com ARX. The built-in optical module is responsible for this function. The optical engine in the helmet generates an image after receiving the signal, and passes this holographic optical element to project the virtual image in front of the wearer's eyes. In addition, for ease of access, N-Com communication systems and Sony optical modules can all be controlled through specially developed smartphone applications. Through the information provided by the system on the see-through display, as well as the audio instructions, the rider can focus more on the ride portion.

Hiroshi Mukawa, who is responsible for Sony's holographic waveguide technology, said: "We are very happy to work with the Nolan Group to reach the peak of this AR field."
