Folding Bicycle Helmet Wins 2016 Dyson Design Award

The honeycomb structure of the EcoHelmet helmet can evenly disperse when the head is hit, and the protective effect is not lost to the traditional polystyrene helmet. Because each "hive" is radial, helmets can help users resist external forces from any direction. EcoHelmet is simple in construction, cheap in material and low in production cost. Shiver said that she plans to sell this helmet at a bicycle sharing site at a price of US$5 (about 34 yuan).

The laboratory has a helmet striking device that reaches the European standard. , I collected enough data to design the unique honeycomb shape of Ecohelmet, confirming the feasibility of the design and its value."
