The old man in the circle used to say that a burning door is like the sea. After playing with audio equipment for over a decade, I've learned many hard lessons that still stick with me. The more expensive the gear, the higher the requirements for the entire system. I believe that the best value lies between 5,000 to 10,000 yuan. Recently, I started using a set of near-field monitor speakers called Tianxian UE from the HIFI Audio Network. These speakers are very playable and flexible, and I'd like to share my experience with you. What is a Near Field Monitor? They offer clear, detailed, and layered sound. Many manufacturers now promote them for civilian use, and Tianxian UE is a perfect example. Enhancements for Better Performance: 1. Shock Absorption: To reduce resonance and improve clarity, especially in the low frequencies, it's important to use shock-absorbing stands or feet. Many people place their speakers directly on tables or cabinets without any support, leading to muddy bass. Using a tripod or foot nails makes a big difference. I noticed a significant improvement in the clarity and stability of the Tianxian UE after switching to a stand. 2. Speaker Positioning: Proper placement is crucial. Many people think it’s easy to set up HIFI speakers, but the interaction between the speaker and the room plays a huge role. I used an internal axis measurement method, placing the speakers at 45 degrees relative to the listening position. This helped achieve a wider soundstage and a more immersive experience. 3. Audio Source: The quality of the source matters. Using a lossless player instead of a phone or computer can make a big difference. I found that the Tianxian UE performs much better with a high-quality source. The detail, saturation, and overall clarity are noticeably better with a proper player. 4. Power Amplifier: Choosing the right amplifier is essential. I opted for the TANKE M5, which combines the strengths of both tube and solid-state amplifiers. It offers excellent resolution, rich low frequencies, and great transient response. Pairing it with the Tianxian UE gives a realistic and immersive listening experience. Final Thoughts: The Tianxian UE has impressed me with its balanced sound across all frequency ranges. Playing "Mountain Flow," I was struck by the richness and realism of the bass, the clarity of the treble, and the naturalness of the vocal delivery. Each note felt alive, like candlelight in the night or the glow of a full moon. The orchestral textures were smooth and delicate, creating a deeply emotional experience. When I played "Yesterday Once More," the mid-range was incredibly clear, and the female voice had a warm, spacious presence. The stereo imaging was precise, and the overall sound was open and expansive. The Tianxian UE delivered a seamless blend of highs, mids, and lows, proving itself as a versatile and high-quality speaker. In summary, a great speaker system should have a reasonable price, room for improvement, and high playability. My setup with Tianxian UE, TANKE M5, and QA360 has become a perfect match for my listening habits.
