It's very convenient to check steps, time, and sleep, and it's more practical for WeChat and phone notifications, allowing the phone to stay muted in the office. This time, the entire horse turned on the heart rate mode and reminded me that my heart rate was around 170-180. I wasn't sure if it was accurate, so I had never dared to run before and took this chance to try a more professional heart rate device.

I usually use two Bluetooth headsets. For running, I've been using the Dafa sbh70 because of its waterproof feature, while AirPods are easy to lose. Psychologically, I feel the sbh70 is more durable for exercise. I've seen many runners use AirPods, and it's very convenient to alternate them between ears. This time, I mostly listened to Lao Guo's comedy dialogue. I also felt that the battery life of AirPods isn't as strong as 5 hours—listening to music lasts longer than calls, and the phone probably needs charging after 3-4 hours.

After running for a long time, I started with Decathlon 199 shoes. Later, due to their weight and understanding of shoes, I continued buying Mizuno Prophecy 4, Arthur Nimbus-17, and Anderma. Charged Bandit 2.



Speaking of running shoes, I want to talk about two pairs I currently use for commuting: Adidas Pure Boost and Yasequan Quantum 360. The Pure Boost is known for its magical popcorn midsole, and the width is wider, lighter, and more transparent. I feel it’s stronger than Nimbus 17 and Quantum 360, but as a running shoe, I still feel something is missing. Quantum 360 has a whole block of GEL glue on the sole, which makes you feel amazing, plus the black (black control) bonus, making it hard to resist. However, objectively speaking, Quantum 360 is more suitable for heavier runners, and my weight doesn’t find it comfortable for commuting.

The Qingdao Maritime Marathon is the only marine marathon event in the world. It was also my first full marathon. Even though I had run six and a half horses, both large and small, the feelings and memories of this race were totally different: 10 kilometers of normal salt pills and energy gel, 20 kilometers of inexplicable left foot blisters, 25 kilometers when I began to feel good, why did I come here? Every kilometer of the 30 km collision period felt particularly long, and I hesitated to abandon the race car. After finishing 42.195 kilometers, although no one waited for me at the finish line, cheering for me, I still think I am a hero.
On November 19, 2017, the Qingdao Maritime International Marathon started at 9:00 PM on the Qingdao Cross-sea Bridge. This event was divided into three groups: parent-child running 5 km, experience running 12.3 km, and full marathon 42.195 km. It was my first time participating. After calming down, I wanted to summarize my running experiences over the past two years.
This is what happened before the race:
Before running, I was an avid basketball player, playing basketball in my free time. In 2015, I faced many changes in my life and started suffering from insomnia. Then I became inactive, eating to compensate for my spirit, and fell into insomnia and overeating. After repeated efforts, I became a 225-pound fat man, completely immersed in the past and unable to extricate myself until one day, a friend told me to try 10 kilometers, give myself a chance to be alone and slow down. Only when I started to run slowly, my patience and endurance improved. I could only run 5 km when I started. After 5 km, my blood and heart felt like they were jumping out of my throat. May 15, 2016, I completed a half marathon.

From this half marathon until this year, I have participated in six and a half marathons and several other events. My physical feedback and feelings of self-improvement made it one of the two goals of 2017. This was also the goal set at the beginning of the year.

The entire race account:
Early on, I led the kit and the Marathon T-shirt didn't have brand sponsorship. The kits were extremely simple. Considering the weather in Qingdao and the strong sea wind, I chose thick clothes. It turned out right, and the jacket on my waist was taken away by other runners due to the cold. On the night of the 18th, I took a photo with Dingzhuang.


In the marathon event, the organizers set up several connecting points. Athletes can use the directory to travel for free. Families need to pay (RMB 5) to accompany the contestants if part of the cross-sea bridge is closed. The shuttle bus provided a lot of convenience. Since there was no driving, the shuttle bus arrived at 6:40 AM, and there were still many people waiting in line.

The starting and ending point of this event was Fantawild Kingdom. After arriving at the car, there were already many people. After passing the security check, many players lined up for the toilet and looked for their names on the wall to take pictures. Of course, there were many international contestants.




After depositing the bag, there were many volunteers who stuck free stickers for you. As a senior runner, I naturally had one.

The Qingdao Maritime Marathon, run by myself, experienced running, and the division of the whole horse were well-separated by volunteers to avoid athletes' behavior. At the same time, the race route was all on the cross-sea bridge, which was nice.

It took 9 hours to run on time.


The race route is almost 3 kilometers from the mouth of the Red Island into the sea bridge, so the marathon has become the only marine marathon in the world.


Because it was my first time without experience and my running capacity was insufficient this year, I followed the rabbit with 442 at the start. At 10 km, I began to supply salt pills and energy gel according to the Great Religion. Additionally, the marathon supplies were very forceful. There were supply points and medical points every kilometer, and the supply reminder board was very close to the number of tables in front of the supply point, avoiding running friends gathering to replenish supplies.


There were many volunteers and security personnel on the road. I'm sorry I didn't take enough photos. I really appreciate them. The temperature of the day was very low, and they kept cheering us.

Compared to the calmness of the former half marathon (participating in the Qingdao Marathon half marathon on November 5th), this time, my left foot blistered at around 19 km, and the blisters grew larger and larger. My speed decreased, and I also felt colder. Desperation led me to seek help from the medical team, who recommended either abandoning the race or breaking the blisters after finishing. Desperation forced me to walk, and I didn't forget to sell Meng for the photographer.


After 25 km, the blisters on my left foot became larger and larger. I took off my socks, and the entire left forefoot was covered in blisters. I could only land on the outside of my left foot. The problem of insufficient running volume was highlighted. My legs were stiff, and my right knee joint became tight. The ligaments became very tight. After 30 km, I experienced a period of wall collision. At this time, my two legs lost strength. My right thigh became very tight. At this time, I felt cramps. With the cold weather, I was hesitant to give up. In the race car, watching the time was almost more than two hours away from the race. I decided to go slowly to see, even if I couldn't finish the race on the car.



Two hours later, I began to seriously look at this beautiful city in Qingdao. The 17-year-old university came here and it has already passed its first year. In this city, we study, work, buy a house, and buy a car. Living or living better, the sweat and joy are similar to the marathon.
At the event of a safe finish and limited strength, the door was closed!

First of all, the marathon is an extreme sport, especially the full marathon is not just a simple two-and-a-half-hour superposition. The marathon needs the support of long-term running. Now that it is running hot, although a pair of shoes can make you run down, it is still before running. You should do the necessary physical examinations. Every time I see a report that a runner is down, I am very sad. Please cherish life for yourself and for those who love you.
Secondly, when I was 225 pounds two years ago, I would not believe that I could go to a horse race this year, or even complete a full marathon. Now I have 84 kg, and I have done it. Nothing is as difficult as it seems. Cherish time, revere life, slow yourself down in a noisy life, enjoy time alone with yourself, which was brought to me by running.
