When I watch my favorite TV shows, movies, and sports, I agree with the theory that the bigger the screen, the more comfortable. The good news is that large-screen TVs with affordable prices are getting bigger and bigger, but people like me who are eager for a large-screen experience are often constrained by the wall space, the size of the house, and the eyes of old-fashioned large-screen TVs. Fatigue. The new display solution, mobile smart TV, can provide both stylish and portable product packaging, and can broadcast large-size images. Imagine how pleasant it is to pack the happy hours of watching movies with you and enjoy the movies you want to watch almost anywhere. The mobile smart TV is very convenient to set up, can be displayed on almost any surface, and can scale the size of the projected image according to the distance between the product and the viewing surface. As long as there is a convertible device, consumers can turn their residential walls into screens, project large games on garage doors, hold movie nights in the backyard (Figure 1), and even carry them when camping. With DLP® Pico technology, the compact size of the device can also display exciting images. This technology includes a digital micromirror device (DMD), which can generate wide video graphics array (WVGA) up to 1080p resolution images, which can be enlarged up to 120 inches diagonally. With key optical efficiency, contrast, speed, and advanced image processing algorithms, and using the same award-winning technology as in DLP Cinema® products, you can design ultra-mobile display solutions suitable for multiple resolutions. Today, there are several innovators and partners of mobile smart TV products in the market, such as Nut, LG and XGIMI. For new manufacturers developing mobile smart TVs, it is easier than ever to integrate optical engines with DLP Pico technology. This relies on the ecosystem of TI ’s third-party partners. System integrators can focus their efforts on the differentiated characteristics of potential mobile smart TV solutions to make them more eye-catching and consider product size, brightness, resolution, interface and audio capabilities.
