Common small household appliances maintenance tips

In hot summer weather, bacteria are more prone to breeding in this hot and humid environment, and household appliances are becoming breeding grounds for them. For the maintenance of home appliances, most people are doing “face time” and rarely go deep inside. If you do not thoroughly clean the interior, then the impact is not just beautiful, but healthy.

Juicers or soya-bean milk makers are used by many families, and some families still use them every day. However, these two kinds of machines are inconvenient to clean and are difficult to be thorough.

Juicer or soymilk maintenance cleaning

● After squeezing the juice or after soya milk, use a scouring pad or a small, used toothbrush to clean the machine's cutter head, strainer, etc. Do not let contaminants such as marc residue and bean dregs condense. The cleanliness brings trouble.

● Add 1/3 warm water and detergent to the mixing vessel, and plug it in with power for 30 seconds. Rinse with clean water. If the cutter head is used to grind the meat, put the remaining grits into the slag and stir it in the mixer to effectively absorb the meat and other residues.

● If used regularly, the plastic cups of juicers and soya-bean milk makers will turn yellow after a long period of time. When this type of problem is encountered, it can be cleaned by repeatedly rubbing small pieces of dough with a little detergent.

● The cleaning of the juicer or soya-bean milk machine shell is relatively simple. Wipe with a rag. Remember not to rinse with water or scrape with a hard object. The base of the juicer or the head of the soya-bean milk machine cannot be immersed in water to prevent the insulating part of the motor from being damaged.

Microwave ovens are the most vulnerable places for dirt. Splashing oil droplets or splattered food residues at high temperatures will stick to the ceiling of the oven cavity. This will not only affect the health of subsequent foods, but may also cause sparks or smoke and increase electromagnetic radiation. Therefore, it should be cleaned regularly.

Microwave oven cleaning

● Unplug the power plug and wipe the warm water with a neutral detergent with a soft cloth. Wipe the inside surface of the microwave oven, the front and back of the oven door, and the opening of the oven door. Do not use metal brushes for cleaning to avoid scratches.

● If the scale is too much, you can use a special microwave oven to hold the lemonade for a few minutes. Let the water evaporate moisten the inside of the oven. Then wipe the stain with rough toilet paper, and then use a double-effect scouring pad to clean the oil. Wipe thoroughly. Care must be taken to clean it with a sponge cloth that has been moistened with water for several times. Do not allow the detergent to remain in the oven. If you later heat the food, the remaining detergent will become a vapor mist attached to the food. Finally dry with a dry sponge rag. To prevent damage to the inside of the furnace, do not allow water to infiltrate the vents.

● Remove the cooled turntable and turntable bracket, wash it with warm soapy water, and then wipe it with clean water. After cleaning the dial and collar, remember to reset it as it is to avoid noise.

● Clean the door seal of the microwave oven, use a soft damp cloth. If the dust is embedded in the rubber door seal, use a dry child soft toothbrush.

● Put the orange peel or lemon peel into a clean microwave oven and heat for 15-30 seconds to remove the odor from the microwave oven.

After the induction cooker is used for a period of time, it is easy to fall on the stains on the panel. If it is not cleaned in time and becomes a stubborn grease, it needs to be done.

Induction Cooker Cleaning

● Pull out the plug and allow the furnace surface to cool completely. Wipe the exhaust fans and vents in the induction cooker to ensure that the ventilation in the induction cooker is smooth and prevent the induction cooker from overheating. This area can be wiped with a soft, dry cloth dipped in alcohol, but wait until the alcohol has evaporated before using the induction cooker. If the vents are dusty, clean them with a soft toothbrush or cotton swab. Do not rinse with water.

● Wipe the induction cooker panel. Wipe with detergent or neutral detergent and wipe with a damp cloth. If the buildup is heavy, wipe the toothpaste and wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Note that the surface of the furnace that has just been used should not be immediately wiped with cold water, so as to avoid heat and heat, and crack the panel.

Coffee is rich in minerals, and accumulated minerals can clog coffee exports. If you like drinking coffee with mineral water, or if you use it frequently, it is best to clean it two or three times a month.

Coffee machine maintenance and cleaning

● Make sure that the coffee machine is turned off and that the body is not hot. The outside of the camera body can be wiped with a damp cloth, sponge, or soft scouring pad. Do not use a scouring pad or a steel ball. This will scratch the coffee machine case.

● Do not immerse the kettle body directly in the water. Instead, remove the strainer, filter, glass bottle and bottle cap, and wash them with warm water and detergent. Soft fur brush can be used if necessary.

● Clean the inside of the coffee machine. 5 tablespoons white vinegar and 5 cups of water, into the coffee machine, and then operate it again as usual coffee, let the vinegar mixed with water, the filter drip into the glass bottle. Repeat this procedure twice. Finally, use 5 cups of clean water and cook again to clean it.

When ironing clothes, due to improper temperature control and other reasons, the floor will be stained with a layer of char, and should be cleaned in time, otherwise it will accumulate more and affect the ironing effect.

Iron maintenance and cleaning

● After the electric iron is energized and preheated to 100°C, cut off the power supply. Coat a small amount of soda powder or detergent powder on the baseboard char. Wipe it with a clean cotton cloth and wipe the dirt off.

● The stain on the surface of the iron can be wiped with a wrung damp cloth after the iron is heated.

● If it is found that the water in the steam-type electric iron water tank is turbid, the white vinegar and half of the water can be used to inject the water tank, heat for a few minutes, cut off the power, and shake and clean it. After washing out the vinegar, rinse it with clean water several times. If you find a white powder in the vent hole, use a needle to clear it. After cleaning, be sure to pour out the remaining water in the tank. If it is found that it is not clean, start the electric iron and use up the excess water.

Drinking fountains have been used for a long time. There will be limescale in the body, and bacteria may grow. Drinking water will have an effect on the body.

Water dispenser maintenance and cleaning

● Pull out the plug, remove the bucket, and open the outlet pipe (usually a white plastic knob) behind the dispenser to drain the remaining water. Then turn on the hot and cold water switch to release water.

● Remove the "smart seat" (that is, the part of the drinking fountain that contacts the mineral water bucket), carefully scrub the inner and outer sides of the inner lid and the lid of the drinking machine with alcohol cotton to prepare for the next disinfection.

● Disinfect the water according to the instructions of the decontamination effervescent tablet or disinfectant, and guide it into the water dispenser so that the disinfectant can fill the entire cavity and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes. However, it is recommended to pour in a little white vinegar or freshly squeezed lemon juice from the water inlet, and then fill it with water for two hours, so that there is no need to worry about the dangers of the detergent residues on the human body.

● Turn on all the switches of the dispenser, including the drain and drinking water switches, and drain the disinfectant or vinegar.

● Continuously flush the entire cavity of the dispenser with clean water. It is advisable to move the dispenser into the bathroom to ensure that there is plenty of water. Open all the switches to drain the net.

● Use a cotton ball to dip alcohol to clean the water dispenser housing, or use a white vinegar diluent to scrub.

Humidifiers can bring us moist, healthy room air, especially suitable for winter heating in the North. However, if there is a lack of cleaning and maintenance of humidifiers, molds and other microorganisms in the humidifier will diffuse into the air with the mist and then enter the human respiratory tract and cause various diseases.

Humidifier maintenance cleaning

● Turn the power switch on the main unit to “OFF” and unplug it. Before extracting the water tank, drain the water inside the main unit, otherwise the water can easily flow into the body and damage the components.

● After the humidifier has been used for a period of time, calcium and magnesium ions in the water gradually precipitate to form scale. Take 5ml (about 1 bottle cap) of dehumidifier as the main raw material of the humidifier, dissolve it in 300ml of water, pour it into the host tank, and let it stand for 15 minutes to fully dissolve the scale; there is also an organic one. The easy way is to use white vinegar, which is effective and healthy. Use a soft-bristled brush to clean the area around the tank first, but be careful not to bump it into the shaker or it will be damaged. When cleaning, it is forbidden to wipe the transducer with a hard object, which may cause fogging during the next use.

● Use a soft bristle brush to clean the water level sensor. Be sure to clean the scale, otherwise it will cause a blockage.

● Discard the detergent in the sink and wash the sink with clean water. Do not splash water into the outlet.
