Seoul successfully produced a 5x LED 'nPola' with a brightness of 500 lumens

On July 3, 2012, the internationally renowned LED professional company - Seoul Semiconductor's new LED product 'nPola' debuted at the Plaza Hotel in Xiaogongdong, Jongno-gu, which uses the core technology that will lead the next-generation lighting market.
The new product 'nPola', which was released on the same day, is a product developed by Seoul Semiconductor for more than 10 years. It is characterized by non-polar technology, which greatly improves the luminous efficiency. Compared with the current LED, it is in the same area. The brightness on the top is 5 times higher. At present, the luminous efficiency of LEDs produced in batches is about 100 lumens, and the 'nPola' product disclosed by Seoul Semiconductor has reached 500 lumens, which is five times that of current products. To put it simply, 10 to 20 LEDs are typically used to make LED bulbs that replace 60W household bulbs, but with 'nPola', only 1 or 2 LEDs can achieve the same brightness.
As LED products begin to be used in general lighting, the lighting industry is expected to save significant energy. However, due to the relatively high cost of LED products, the popularity of the LED lighting market has been slowed down. Through this successful mass production of "nPola" products, Seoul Semiconductor can promote LED lighting to replace traditional lighting; the lighting market accounts for 20% of the world's electricity consumption, and Seoul Semiconductor will contribute to the world's energy conservation and emission reduction business.
Li Yuxun’s legal representative said that “in the past 20 years, we have only focused on one area of LED. The new product launched this time can be said to be the essence of more than 20 years of core technology”, “is the ultimate goal of LED light source”, thus showing the new Great confidence in the product. Seoul Semiconductor will enter production immediately, and plans to start selling based on overseas strategic points.
In addition, Professor Nakamura Shuji, known as the 'Father of LEDs', participated in the event and introduced the technical capabilities of Seoul Semiconductor. Professor Nakamura Shuji, who has been nominated for the Nobel Prize candidate, is currently a professor at the University of Santa Barbara in the United States and a consultant to Seoul Semiconductor. Professor Nakamura said that "Seoul's technical strength and competitiveness are among the best in the international market," and said that "LED products released today will open up a new situation in the lighting market."
In addition to the release of new products, the day's event also set up a booth that can personally audit the core products of Seoul Semiconductor - Acrich, UV, white LED, etc., and received a lot of attention from the participants.
