In the golden autumn season, GE brought the GE Edison Awards Lighting Design Competition, one of the most authoritative lighting design competitions in the world, to the Asia-Pacific region for the first time. Mr. Zhang Chengdong took the opportunity to interpret the development concept of GE market. Although GE has lighting research and development centers in Europe and the United States, products imported directly from abroad may not be suitable for China. Chang Zhang, the city's director, said that in the past five or six years, the business has grown very fast. This also benefits from China's infrastructure, mainly in four aspects. The first aspect is highways and bridge tunnels. In the second aspect, with the Olympic Games in Beijing, there are very large plans and influences, and some local governments are setting up small sports centers with huge investment. The third aspect is in industrial and mining, and the fourth aspect is in commercial (hotels, commercial buildings). Among them, highways and bridges and tunnels account for the largest proportion.

Mr. Zhang pointed out that GE Lighting's Olympia series launched by the National Street Light Association in April was very successful. The six projects that began to be promoted in July this year have received more than 15,000 sets of orders. The main feature of these products is energy saving. There are dual power in the rectifier. In the application of the bridge project, the voltage can be automatically adjusted at night during off-peak traffic, and the power saving exceeds 50%. Another advantage is that the light distribution has a good effect on the brightness and uniformity of the light distribution. For example, on the highway, if the interval is 30 meters, the brightness and uniformity of the light distribution will affect the safety of the driver driving. For example, the requirements for light distribution at the tunnel port are very high, and it is required to be similar to the brightness of the outside when entering the tunnel. GE Lighting has also done a lot of research in this respect, so the owners are increasingly accepting the results. At present, GE has a dominant market share in domestic tunnel projects.

Zhang further analyzed that GE Lighting has the ability to integrate various product resources and provide one-stop services according to the needs of the owners. It can provide facilities and services for lighting products and services, such as power distribution rooms, industrial systems, security, water treatment and so on. Therefore, GE Lighting has the advantage of integrating various resources and providing a package of services.
