The Taizhou Folk Culture Exhibition Center was designed by Professor He Jingtang, and Zibo was responsible for the lighting design.
The case is located in Daohe Ancient Street where Taizhou, Jiangsu Province, began in the late Yuan and Ming Dynasties. It has a history of 600 years and was once a Hakka immigrant community.
Its geographical location, history and humanity determine its special temperament integrating traditional culture, folk culture and modern culture.
In the planning and design, Mr. He fully considers the above factors, and interprets the unique elements of Taizhou's local “left and right†elements, which are applied to the building. The overall style is traditional, elegant and modern.
In view of the above characteristics of the building, we put forward two principles in the process of lighting integration: respect the original architectural style principle and the humanized experience principle.
First, the integration of lighting
The process of architectural lighting design is a process of integrating “architectural art†with “light art†to realize the self-expression of buildings at night through light.
1. Respecting the original architectural style means that our lighting designers are going to follow the architect's ideas to a large extent. Personally, it is this kind of bound creative process that often stimulates the designer's creative potential in light and shadow. The contrast between the form and the god, the virtual and the real, gives an unexpected inspiration!
2. If it is said that respecting architectural style is the basic standard for making choices in the creative process, then people-oriented is the fundamental basis for the choice.

Courtyard: It is at the core of ancient architecture. The courtyard space is the transition between indoor and outdoor buildings. It is the space where people and nature can communicate harmoniously with people. Foyer: It is the hub of communication between inside and outside. It plays the role of internal and external communication in the building. The foyer of this case integrates traditional elements with modern elements. In order to express this feature, we adopt a combination of internal and silhouette to deal with it. It will integrate the performance of space and the performance of the structure, forming a strong visual impact.
Harmony Hall: It is in the center of the building. In the way of expression, it adopts the combination of internal and silhouette in the same way as the hall. For the Harmony Hall in the center of the viewing visual center, we pay more attention to the composition of each angle. Through the treatment of the surrounding walls, courtyards and water features, we can shape the dense contrast of the big relationship, so that it can relax and reach the level.
