Lifetime (after initial and 1000h endurance test at 135°C) ensures low ESR (equivalent series resistance) values ​​at low temperatures of -40°C. This is the first aluminum electrolytic capacitor that can achieve this performance.
According to reports, Nichicon's previous product was based on the previously accumulated technology, using a new type of separator and the use of a newly developed solvent that is not easily evaporated as an electrolyte, and optimizing the combination of parts and materials. Although the existing “CZ Series†products are resistant to high temperatures of 125°C and guarantee low ESR values ​​at low temperatures, this new product achieves higher temperature resistance and stable low ESR values ​​at low temperatures. For the harsh vibration environment of the vehicle-mounted products, such as the engine room, the entire series of products can form a vibration-resistant structure.
The new product has a rated voltage range of 10 to 35V and a rated electrostatic capacity of 47 to 470F. There are three sizes, namely φ6.3×10L (mm), φ8×10L (mm) and φ10×10L (mm). Sample shipments will begin in October 2012. Mass production is scheduled to begin at the Nichicon Iwate Factory in April 2013.
