For smaller screens, the serial cable is convenient, but when dealing with a large number of screens, it becomes cumbersome. The process is time-consuming and prone to errors, especially during the final steps of the download. I once had an experience where downloading over 70 screens via a serial cable took nearly 45 minutes, which was very frustrating. Moreover, the serial port is susceptible to interference, often causing the last few screens to fail in being transferred.
In such situations, using a CF card is a more efficient option. Below are the steps for downloading or uploading screen data using a CF card on a Mitsubishi touch screen:
**Downloading Screens to the CF Card**
1. **Touch Screen Operation**
- Insert the CF card into the CF slot of the touch screen.
- Turn the CF card switch ON; the indicator light should illuminate.
- Press the upper left corner, lower left corner, and upper right corner of the touch screen simultaneously, then release your hand. This will bring up the system settings screen.
- Click the "DATA&OSCOPY" button to access the data copy screen.
- Use the SEL arrow button to select "INNER MEMORY→MEMORY CARD", then press the COPY button. Confirm the action by pressing OK.
- Once the transfer is complete, a message will appear indicating that the data has been successfully transferred.
2. **Editing Software Operation**
- After transferring the screen data to the CF card, turn off the CF card switch and eject the card from the touch screen.
- Insert the CF card into a computer and open the Mitsubishi touch screen editing software.
- The transferred screen data is stored in the "USERDATA" folder on the CF card. This folder contains files and system information for each screen.

- The screen transfer process will begin. Upon completion, a prompt will indicate that the transfer is done.

- Reinsert the CF card into the touch screen and turn the CF card switch ON.

- Select "INNER MEMORYâ†MEMORY CARD" and press the COPY button to transfer the screen data from the CF card back to the touch screen.
